Who we are

We buy the hardware businesses retire

Since the 1990s, My Tech Buyer has done one thing exceptionally well: pay organizations fairly for the enterprise IT equipment they no longer need.

Every refresh, migration, office move and data center closure leaves hardware behind. Most of it still works. Left on a shelf it loses value every month; sent to a general recycler it returns a fraction of what it’s worth. We exist to close that gap — valuing equipment accurately, removing it safely, and putting it back into service through our remarketing channels.

That means our customers are IT managers, systems administrators, procurement teams and facilities leads — people who need a decommission handled properly, documented for audit, and turned into recovered budget rather than a disposal cost.

Turn Your Surplus IT Equipment Into Cash

Have servers, storage, networking gear, components, or test equipment you no longer need? Tell us what you have and get a fast, straightforward valuation from our team.

Our approach

How we work

A process refined over three decades — designed so selling surplus hardware costs you as little time as possible.

Understand what you have

Send a list, photos or a rough description. If you’re not sure what’s in the rack, we’ll help you build the inventory.

Value it honestly

We price against real market data and explain the reasoning. The number you’re quoted is the number we stand behind.

Remove it safely

Deracking, packing and nationwide freight, scheduled around your operations — with sanitization documented at every step.

Give it a second life

Equipment is tested and remarketed wherever possible. Only what genuinely can’t be reused goes to compliant recycling.

Top-dollar offers

Deep vendor demand and remarketing channels let us pay more for your surplus than brokers or general recyclers can.

Data security & compliance

Certified data erasure and full chain-of-custody documentation — protecting your business long after the hardware leaves.

Any scale, fully handled

Five pieces or five hundred, a single system or a full datacenter — we manage logistics, pickup and payment end to end.

What we stand for

Three commitments we don’t compromise on

Fair, transparent pricing

We tell you what your equipment is worth and why. No inflated first offers that get revised down after collection, and no pressure to accept.

Security before everything

Every data-bearing device is sanitized to certified standards with per-device documentation. Chain of custody is tracked from the moment we collect.

Responsibility by default

We remarket before we recycle, so working hardware gets a second life. What can’t be reused goes to compliant, landfill-avoiding downstream processing.

FAQ

Questions businesses ask us most

We’re an enterprise IT hardware buyer. For over 30 years we’ve purchased surplus, off-lease and decommissioned equipment from businesses, then tested, sanitized and remarketed it so working hardware stays in service rather than being scrapped.

Our business is buying. We remarket the equipment we purchase through trade channels, but this site exists for organizations that want to sell surplus hardware, not shop for it.

Nationwide across the United States, including packing, pickup and freight. For international enquiries, contact us and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can help.

Every data-bearing device is sanitized to recognized standards or physically destroyed on request, with per-device certificates and a serialized asset report for your audit records.

Yes. We regularly work under NDA with regulated and enterprise clients. Mention it when you get in touch and we’ll send paperwork before you share an inventory.

A broker sells on your behalf and takes commission; a recycler generally pays scrap value. We buy outright at market rates, handle data security and logistics ourselves, and pay you directly.
